In 2003, he worked as a surgeon at a clinic in Belgium’s Division of Maxillofacial Surgery.
He gained more experience operating in the field of maxillofacial surgery. In the year 2004, in the United States of America, the New York University School of Medicine Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, the North Carolina at UNC College of Dentistry Division of Maxillofacial Surgery, and the Mount Sinai School of Medicine Division of Maxillofacial Surgery were established as centers to help doctors gain more experience.
Also, in 2005, he collaborated with Genkord Stem Cell and Blood Bank to perform the country’s first stem cell applications for treating diabetes patients’ wound complications. In 2010, he acquired Genkord Stem Cell and Biotechnology A, where he had previously conducted clinical research. He also continued his research on stem cells and developed his patented Stem Cell Separation Device, Blood and Blood Products Separation Device, and Apheresis Devices. Through this device infrastructure, he is still researching fat stem cells, tissue adhesives, and the production of recombinant factor 8 drugs.
He currently holds the position of lecturer in the Department of Oral and Dental Health, Jaw and Facial Prosthesis at Beykent University. Prof. Gürsel Turgut can continue his Aesthetic Surgery procedures at Ulus Liv Hospital since he has developed his nose aesthetics, breast reduction, and microsurgery techniques.
